PlantSay ("the App") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our services, we may collect and use the following information:

1.1 Image Information

When you use the "Plant Identification" or "Plant Chat" features, we require access to your camera or photo library. The images you upload are sent to our servers or third-party AI service providers for analysis to return identification results. Note: We do not permanently store the original images uploaded for identification. They are deleted after the analysis is complete.

1.2 Location Information

To provide accurate local weather information for plant care, we request access to your location. We use Apple's CoreLocation framework to determine your location. Location data is used solely to request weather data from WeatherKit and is not uploaded to our servers or used to track your movements.

1.3 Chat Data

Your conversation history with plants is stored in your personal private iCloud database. To generate responses, your input text is sent to our third-party AI service provider for processing.

1.4 iCloud Data

The App uses Apple's CloudKit service. Your plant profiles, care diaries, and other data are stored in your personal private iCloud database. This means only you can access this data; we cannot view or access your private iCloud data.

2. Third-Party Services

We integrate the following third-party services to provide core functionality:

• PlantSay Server: For plant image recognition and AI chat processing.
• Apple WeatherKit: For providing weather data.
• Apple iCloud: For data synchronization and storage.

These third-party services may have their own privacy policies, which we recommend you review.

3. Use of Information

We use the collected information only to:

• Provide plant identification and AI chat services.
• Provide location-based weather advice.
• Sync your data across your devices (via iCloud).
• Improve the App's functionality and user experience.

4. Information Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• With your explicit consent.
• As required by law or legal process.
• To provide necessary information to third-party partners (such as the AI providers mentioned above) solely for the purpose of fulfilling your requests (limited to the minimum necessary data).

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information.

• Your primary data is stored on Apple's iCloud servers, protected by Apple's security technologies.
• We use encryption (SSL/TLS) to protect data transmission over the network (e.g., when uploading images for identification).

6. Your Rights

• Access and Correction: You can view and modify your plant data within the App at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete plant cards or diaries within the App, and the relevant data will be removed from your iCloud.
• Revoke Permissions: You can revoke camera, photo library, or location permissions at any time in your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 14. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child, we will delete it as soon as possible.

8. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated policies will be posted within the App. Continued use of the App indicates your agreement to the updated Privacy Policy.
